CFCFFL was at the March for Life last Jan 22, 2010.

2010 marks the first time in the 37 years history of March for Life that the Archdiocese of Washington offered an Adult Mass and Rally.

The event was at the St. John the Evangelist Church at 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20902, starting with 8:00 am songs and rosary.

The rally featured David Bereit, a powerful guest speaker, and the founder and national director of 40 Days for Life, with sharers about the abortion issue. Music was provided by Accion Divina and Janice Clark of Canada for the program. Bishop Francisco Gonzales, S.F. presided over the mass, with the Neocatechumenal Way leading the choir.

CBCP GIVES RECOGNITION TO CFC FFL

MANILA, October 26, 2009 - The Episcopal Commission on the Laity (ECLA) of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has given formal recognition to the Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFC FFL) as a National Private Association of the Lay Faithful. [More]

ALL HALLOWS EVE MASS OCTOBER 31 AT THE CRYPT:

Auxiliary Bishop Francisco Gonzalez SF celebrated Mass in the Crypt of the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception last October 31, 2009, for the Vigil of All Saints Day. The Mass is being sponsored by the Association of Ecclesial Movements and New Communities of the Archdiocese of Washington which is currently chaired by Bro. Ado Paglinawan. Beads for Peace, Family and Life launched!

Our local CFCFFL area has decided to extend its third year of Beads for Peace (rosary chain) from May and October 2009, continuing through November and December and onto 2010. This will now become a daily rosary chain interceding for family and life.   Hence now, Beads for Peace, Family and Life.

Fr. Leo Patalinghug, author of best seller book Grace Before Meals, guested on September 5 at the regular Area Breakfast Club of Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life at the McCarrick Center.

Fr. Leo expounded on the relevance of food and feasting to our Judeo-Christian traditions, four days before launching his nationwide TV show on The Food Network. CFCFFL has invited Fr. Leo to highlight his Theology on Food following the recent five liturgical Sundays' discourse on the Bread of Life. (View pictures here.)

Frank and Gerry Padilla present Frank's book, 40 Days with Mary, to His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI last April 5, 2008. The Padilla couple were in the Vatican to attend the annual meetings of the Pontifical Council of the Laity and the Pontifical Council of the Family, to which they have been appointed by the late Pope John Paul II representing Couples for Christ.
